When turmoil swirls around you, it may threaten to swirl within you. My question is:
Do you know that you can subdue turmoil?
Your ability to subdue turmoil is your faith in God. By faith, you can calm any turmoil within you. Just keep your focus on God.
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
By faith, you can subdue the turmoil around you. Just speak to the turmoil the way Jesus spoke to the storm.
Mark 4:39
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!”
And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:26
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?”
Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Luke 8:24
And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!”
Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.
By faith, you can call on God and He will subdue the turmoil.
Psalm 107:28-30
28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses.
29 He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
30 Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.
When the turmoil has been subdued, God will give you peace. He will fill you, guard you and delight you with peace.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 37:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
