The holistic approach acknowledges that if you were to neglect the health of any one of these, it would be detrimental to the health of the other two and detrimental to your overall health.
Usually, when people think about health or about being healthy, they frame the issue in the context of the body. Typical considerations include some of the activities that impact physical health such as exercise and eating, and obvious manifestations of physical health such as weight and cholesterol levels. But you are more than your body, therefore being healthy involves more than having a healthy body.
